Baseboard with triple processor power for graphics, communication and real-time control
Kontron Electronics' System on Module (SoM) is already placed on a handy baseboard. It offers concentrated computing power for demanding visualization and Internet communication applications as well as control tasks in mechanical engineering and device technology.
Three processor cores on one chip offer the right solution for every task. Based on a pre-installed embedded Linux operating system, the Cortex-A7 Dual Core handles complex visualization tasks, including the display of web content. Display interfaces, such as RGB and DSI, are already available. With the integrated Arm® Cortex®-M4 processor, the BL STM32MP157 features proven microcontroller technology with a wide range of peripheral interfaces. This board offers an excellent solution for implementing very compact, low-cost high-performance touch HMIs or control tasks in mechanical engineering. In this context, wireless technologies are also supported, as they are mainly used in IoT solutions.
