Embedded Flash Controllers control embedded flash memory chips on devices via Compact Flash, USB and SATA interfaces. The controllers are available as a chip for PCB, module (DOM = Disk On Module) or single-chip storage. They are used in industrial PCs, mobile terminals, test and measurement equipment and network equipment, among others. In addition, all SMI embedded flash controllers are offered for both the commercial (0°C to +70°C) and the industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C).
