Bluetooth Mesh

The Bluetooth Mesh Network supplements the low-energy part of the Bluetooth protocol in order to transmit the shortest possible data packets in an energy-saving way. Bluetooth LE has so far known point-to-point or multipoint connections, for example between sports watches and smartphones for data transfer, and broadcast connections for the use of small beacons, for example for localisation services.

With the mesh network protocol, Bluetooth LE can now also find its way into the areas of building automation, sensor networks and tracking of goods. In a mesh network, all nodes are connected to each other, which increases the range and bypasses blocked links.
