Matrix routers help transmit audio or video signals to multiple destinations simultaneously. They allow one-to-one or one-to-many switching, but not many-to-one. Matrix routers support either analog or digital and audio or video signals, more sophisticated solutions also support all types but on different ports. Often these are also equipped with an amplifier to achieve better performance in terms of transmission and resolution.
