Microchip Technology bietet die LIN-Transceiver MCP2021 / MCP2022 mit integriertem LDO-Regler für automotive Anwendungen an. Diese Transceiver bilden die physikalische Schnittstelle für LIN-Bus-Verbindungen gemäß der LIN 2.0-Spezifikation. Der Bus-Treiber liefert während der Übertragung mit 20 kBit/s Ausgangsströme von bis zu 200 mA bei einem Ruhestrom von weniger als 50 µA. In Ergänzung zum physikalischen Interface für bidirektionale Halb-Duplex Kommunikation bietet dieser Transceiver einen zusätzlichen LDO mit 5 V/50 mA- oder 3,3 V/50 mA-Ausgang zur Versorgung von Mikrocontrollern oder weiteren Baugruppen. Der Ausgangsstrom kann nach Bedarf durch einen zusätzlichen Transistor erhöht werden. Der LDO ist kurzschlussfest und verfügt über eine integrierte Übertemperaturabschaltung. Der Transceiver wurde speziell für die Anforderungen im Automobilbau entwickelt, überlebt die Verpolung der Batteriespannung und Load Dump-Transienten von bis zu +43 V. Mit einem Temperaturbereich von -40°C bis +125°C erfüllt dieser Baustein alle Anforderungen bei der Vernetzung von Automotive-Subsystemen. Einsatzgebiete:
