Local, galvanically isolated supply
A power supply has long since ceased to be just the classic power supply with mains cable on one side and low voltage on the other. AC/DC & DC/DC converters can also perform this task directly, but can also generate other operating voltages internally or provide galvanic isolation. Distributed power architectures thus make development faster and more flexible and improve the quality of the supply at the point of load.
